BFA Tutorial

In this tutorial we will use the GFA experiment for the brownfield analysis to extend the existing supply chain.

We will create a small supply chain in Switzerland distributing a new type of chocolate bar among the 10 customers in the largest cities of the country.

Then we will extend our supply chain by adding customers in the bordering countries: Austria and Italy. The experiment in this case will consider:

  • All the objects of the existing supply chain
  • Demand of all the customers
  • Connections between the existing objects

Market statistics show that in average annual chocolate consumption per capita constitutes:

  • 10.3kg in Switzerland
  • 8.7kg in Austria
  • 4kg in Italy

We plan to cover at least 10% of the market with the new product.
